Super blood moon in the United Arab Emirates

1 min read

The Emirates Herald news agency reported that on Sunday night and Monday morning a total lunar eclipse will grace the skies.

Partial stages of the eclipse will be visible in Africa, Europe, and the Middle East.

The moon will be bathed in the reflected red and orange hues of Earth’s sunsets and sunrises for about an hour and a half, one of the longest periods of the decade.

The Emirati desert is a good place to observe the first so-called blood moon in a year.

NASA will broadcast the eclipse event live, through its website, with coverage beginning Monday at 7:00 a.m. UAE.
