An as yet undetermined number of people were injured in a casino in southeastern Florida as a result of the rupture of part of the roof caused, according to some media, of the explosion of a tank with material to extinguish fires and, according to others, of the fall of some teams.
According to Local 10, six people were taken to hospitals near the Seminole tribe casino, located in the city of Hollywood, near Miami, but NBC 6 said there were only two.
Another 20 people were treated in the parking lot of the place with scratches and other minor injuries.
Tribe spokesman Gary Bitner said there was no need to mourn the loss of human life and that the game room was evacuated.
So far there is no official version that clearly explains what happened so that part of the ceiling of the bingo hall collapsed.
According to various sources, at the time of the explosion there were a hundred people in the casino.
The casino where the accident occurred is the one opened in 1979, not the more modern Seminole Hard Rock Casino & Hotel, which is a short distance from the first.
