Joe Biden announced the US delegation for the inauguration of the president of Colombia

Joe Biden, President of the United States, announced the members of the Presidential delegation that will attend the inauguration of Gustavo Petro as President of the Republic of Colombia on August 7, 2022.

Samantha Power, administrator of the United States Agency for International Development, will lead the delegation, which will arrive in the country.

 

Members of the delegation:

– Desirée Cormier Smith, Special Representative for Racial Equity and Justice at the US Department of State.

– Gregory Meeks, Chairman of the House Foreign Affairs Committee.

– Francisco L. Palmieri, Chargé d’Affaires at the Embassy of the United States in Bogotá, Colombia.
